David L. Campbell

February 5, 1955 – March 22, 2022

We honor and celebrate the Inspiring Life of DAVID L. CAMPBELL. David will be cherished and remembered through the legacy of his loving family and friends.

David Lee-Otha Campbell was born on February 5, 1955 to Leonza Campbell and Dorthy Wright Campbell in The Bronx, NY. David led a life of much adventure, joy, and `Knowledge’ as we lovingly knew him by because of him being a brother of The Five Percent Nation
As a young adult living his best life, he met Diane and later on married her on February 17,1982. David was a diligent worker and even worked with his dad at the Jewish Guild for the Blind. David soon after obtained a job with The Tremont Community Council as an accountant/bookkeeper. For many years, David was very active in his community where he was a coach and mentor to many teens at the V.I.P.S. Center in The Bronx, NY. He had a way with the youth.  As his passions got the best of him, his legacy became fulfilled later on in his Knowledgeable life.

As his journey led him to the path of his desires and destiny, he met Theresa in 1999 while she was going to lunch with her best friend. When they saw each other, they knew their destiny, however, Theresa couldn’t understand why David was looking  so mean. He asked her to lunch, and soon after they became a couple and moved to Connecticut. David was always about educating young Kings and Queens but, also yearned for his own. God blessed him with his first born Sun Devynne Ramell Nazeer Campbell born October 14, 2002. He was a loving dad at a far later age because of his beliefs and honor. He was loving and taking care of all children within his circumference. God was not done with him. Later on, David moved to Las Vegas with Theresa to begin a new chapter in his Book of Life.

While working at Tahiti Village Call Center and taking care of his children, he met Nadia. As she walked passed his desk she said to him `what’s up?’ And he said `you’ which threw her off guard. Soon after his cosmic alignment with Jupiter, God blessed him with his second Sun, Sincere Rashi Campbell born June 18, 2009. As his Book of Life continued, he was then blessed with a `Daddy’s Girl’ named Janai Justice  Campbell born January 5, 2011.

David loved all of the children that was in his life and made sure to show them by bringing them to his house and having weekend adventure sleepovers. David had the life he desired with the joy of children surrounding him. Knowledge was always about his. Children and God blessed him with three and many others that he mentored and loved as his own. No matter what was going on in his life, he always made sure he was close to his children.

After enduring so much pain, God called his Sun to rest. One of our sisters passed while he was in recovery which hurt him so. Our Beautiful Black Butterfly Donna( Big Little Sister and Little Big Sister). I know they are smiling, laughing, cracking jokes right now. David Knowledge is survived by his children, Devynne, Sincere, Janai and a granddaughter named Sevynne which meant the world to him. David is survived by 8 sisters, Linda(Luasia), Lola Ann(Tikina) ,April(Demina),Dawn, Leonzie, Zaida, Momayela, and Kabul, and two brothers Jimmy, and March(Wabu) and so many nephews, nieces,  and cousins.
David was Blessed and Highly Favored by God. His Book of Life may have ended, but his series of books live on. We will always love you. Peace God.
