January 8, 1949 — April 27, 2025

Dianne Eileen Kundzicz was born on January 8, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. Her paternal grandparents were Stanislaus Kundzicz & Alexandra Zalewsa from Newark & Poland, and maternal grandparents, Estelle Wayne Moxley & Maude Lee May from Kentucky & Illinois. Dianne's parents were Stanley Anthony Kundzicz, b. 11 May 1911 in Newark, NJ ~ d. 11 Jan 1998, Las Vegas, NV; & Virginia Lucille Moxley, b. 5 June 1921 in Chatham, IL ~ d. 6 Jan 2009, Las Vegas, NV.

She is survived by two of three sisters: Sylvia Joan Kundzicz - Springer, b. 1 Jun 1943, Detroit, MI & Shirley Jean Kundzicz - Baker - Kundzicz, b.13 Jul 1944, Centreville, MS. Dianne's eldest sister was Cynthia Lee Kundzicz-Donahue-Gardner b. 13 May 1943 Detroit, MI ~ d. 18 Oct 1998 in Salida, CO.

As a youngster Dianne loved horses, rode English, her horse's name was Jambalaya. She spent many happy hours riding that horse! As Dianne matured into a young adult, she began to pursue her artistic talent. As an adult Diana graduated from the prestigious Rocky Mountain School of Art, in Denver, while at the time was suffering from (an unknown condition at the time), Fibromyalgia; she lived with that the rest of her adult life.

Dianne was married to a fellow artist, Frank Lyon, in Taos, NM, although the marriage ended a few years later. She was a very talented artist, and sold many commercial art pieces in her 30's-50's. In the late 1990's Dianne moved, on her own, to Chalupa, Mexico and lived there for a year with her Siamese cat Ursa. She loved her time in Mexico and always had wanted to go back.

Diana loved old tv westerns, as did her daddy, and in her later years watched them again, especially her favorite, Gun Smoke. She loved Princess Diana, and when she died, Dianne legally changed her name spelling to "Diana". The four sisters were very close, and would do anything they could for one another if need be. She was funny, had a great sense of humor; had a kind heart, and was generous with herself as well as her material belongings. She had beautiful green eyes, and naturally dark lashes which looked as if she was wearing makeup! A lovely smile, and jet black hair, she was a stunning beauty, inside and out.

Diana loved ancient history, especially about Mexico and Maya; loved everything about the Egyptians & their culture. She loved cats and always had a cat throughout her adult life.Diana's ashes will be sprinkled over her eldest sister, Cynthia's grave.
