Doris JoAnn Peterson

Doris JoAnn Peterson,78, passed away peacefully and entered her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on October 26, 2025, at Mountain View Care Center in Boulder City, NV.

She was born October 3, 1947 in Wahoo, Nebraska to Harold L. and Dorothy K. (Anderson) Peterson and lived most of her young life in Swedeburg, Nebraska. In 1973 she moved to North Kansas City, Missouri where she worked at The Golden Ox restaurant for many years. In her later years she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, with her mother so she could be closer to her brother and his family.

While in North Kansas City she attended St. James Lutheran Church. Doris was a blessing to many people and she will be remembered for her dry sense of humor, quick wit, and a fantastic memory!

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul. She is survived by her daughter, Colette Cannova of Tampa, FL; niece, Christine Brown (Steve) of Ft. Mohave, AZ; great-nephew, Robbie Brown (Madi) of Phoenix, AZ and their children, Nolan and Amara; and many cousins.

Graveside services will be held in the Spring in Nebraska.
