In Loving Memory of Freida Lynn Morris: February 28, 1954 – May 9, 2026

Freida Lynn Morris was born on February 28, 1954, in Fulton, Missouri, to Freida Mae Richmond and Winfred Richmond Sr. A woman of intelligence, grace, and resilience, Freida lived a life rooted in service and entrepreneurship.

As a young girl, Freida Lynn moved to Evanston, Illinois, where she attended Foster School and Roycemore School before graduating from Evanston Township High School. Evanston would become an important foundation in her life, shaping her lifelong commitment to community care and business.

Freida Lynn was a visionary and a woman of many talents. Throughout her life, she pursued several successful professional ventures, including business consulting, real estate, and social services. She took particular pride in her work supporting families through the Family Focus Our Place community, where her dedication and care touched many lives.

In 1990, Freida Lynn relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she continued her life of service and leadership. She served as the Executive Director of Life Line Pregnancy Agency, dedicating herself to supporting women and families with dignity and care. Later, she worked as a mitigation specialist, bringing humanity, empathy, and advocacy to people too often overlooked by society.

Freida Lynn earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and remained deeply committed to lifelong learning and personal growth throughout her life. She was a member of her civic and professional communities, serving in roles and organizations including the City of Las Vegas Vision 2000 Board, the City of Las Vegas Mayor’s Committee for a Better Community, Phi Alpha Delta, National Honor Society in Social Work, and the American Board of Forensic Counselors.

Over the course of her career, Freida Lynn received numerous awards and honors, including recognition from Women of Distinction, Soroptimist International, the UNLV Alliance of Professionals of African Heritage, Distinguished Women in Nevada, and the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.

Above all, Freida Lynn cherished her family. She leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 30 years, Ronald; her children, N’nanba Balanta known as Robin, Craig, and Dawn (Darren); her cherished grandchildren, Blake (Sierra), Bailee, and Brandon; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Karson whom she affectionately called “Prince,” Devynn, Myles, Brexlynn, McCoy, Meryck, and Alyra. She is also survived by her four brothers, Winfred (Monique), Bil (Kim), Crawford, and Michael, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Freida Lynn will also be deeply missed by her dear friends, her community, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, wisdom, and love.

Freida Lynn will be remembered for her sharp mind, entrepreneurial spirit, elegant presence, and unwavering ability to inspire others to find their footing in life. She had a gift for conversation, and making people feel seen. Her life touched many across Missouri, Illinois, Nevada, and beyond.

Though she has transitioned from this earthly life, her love, lessons, and legacy remain deeply woven into the lives of those she inspired.

May she rest in eternal peace and power.
