Gary Thomas Colombo 

Was born April 6, 1956 in Rochester, NY to Thomas Michael Colombo and Gracemarie Colombo. Gary passed away from an aggressive type of cancer and subsequent tumor on August 16, 2026 at the age of 70. He is preceded by both of his parents.

He is survived by his sisters, Carla (Doug) Thompson and Lori (Paul) Koopman; his ex-wife, Deborah Cluff; their four children, Christina (Hunter) Reed, John (Shaina) Colombo, Victoria Colombo, Tamara (Joseph) Sault; and grandchildren-August Wilder and Eleanor Truly Reed, Syrus Giovanni and Alaric Guitano Colombo, and John Benjamin Sault. He also had many friends he viewed as family.

Music and performing filled Gary’s entire life, from the moment he was born until he passed. His mother was a dancer, so he was destined for the performance-driven life he led. He served as a piano and voice teacher, as well as performing with many local theatre companies.

In his over 30 years in Las Vegas, Gary worked with multiple shows on the strip including The Show in the Sky at the Rio, The Pirate Show at Treasure Island, and the gondoliers at The Venetian.

He was a devout member of the International Church of Las Vegas for over 25 years, lending his voice and musical talents to multiple Christmas and Easter productions, and more recently, serving in the parking lot ministry.

His children were his whole world. Everything he did, he did for them, in hopes to build for their future. He was endlessly proud of their accomplishments. From scavenger hunts on Christmas and weekly ‘noodles and sauce’ after church, to midnight movie premieres and ‘days-with-dad’, Gary did his best to give his children a memorable childhood. All the while, instilling life lessons that led to his children being successful adults.

He will be missed by many, but his memory and legacy will be cherished by even more.
