Jacklan Branch was born on January 20th, 1953, to Lester T Walker and the late Cora Mae Walker in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was the eldest of 5 children born to this union.

She was self employed for over 20yrs with her own professional cleaning business.

Jacklan was a woman whose life was centered around people she loved. She had a special gift for making her family feel cared for, whether it was through a home cooked meal, a clean welcoming home, or simply being there when she was needed. She found great joy in cooking and caring for her family. Jacklan especially treasured the time she spent keeping and loving her grandchildren. She was stern and very old school when it came to certain things like instilling discipline as well as respect to all who knew her.

She was a woman with a bright and beautiful smile that could light up any room. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could make you laugh even when you weren’t expecting it. Jacklan believed in discipline and doing what was right. She knew how to make you laugh one minute and remind you who was in charge the next! She could be loving and firm, gentle and strong, all at the same time.

Her children and grandchildren knew that behind that beautiful smile and sternness was a woman who cared deeply, wanted the best for her family, and wasn’t afraid to teach you a lesson when you needed one!

She is preceded in death by her Mother Cora Mae Walker, her grandparents Maceo Harris and Cealie Williams, her only sister Jacintha Jamerson, her brothers Lester Walker Jr, Leslie Walker and stepbrother Dean Williams, her only son Demond Branch and her eldest Granddaughter Ibriana Alvies.

She leaves to cherish her Father Lester Walker stepmother Geneva Walker, her brother Larry Walker, her 3 daughters Latezie Walker, LuChanna Means (Youraldon) Shamona Allen (Dominic). Grandchildren BerQuisha Henry, Barion Henry, Lavender Allen, Eternity Henry and A’mari Walls. Great grandchildren Preston Pierrot, Paris Jackson, Messiah Jackson, Levi Cooper, London Jackson, A’myla Walls and A’lias Chase. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John 11:25-26 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
