A LIFE WELL LIVED

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Loreto Baquiran, affectionately known as Nanay Loring/Oying, on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 89, surrounded by the warm embrace of her loved ones. Loreto was born on April 25, 1935 in Manila, Philippines. She was the 4th out of 7 children to Atty. Vicente Tagle Sr. and Cristina Tagle. Her siblings are Rogie and Josie, and she was preceded in death by her siblings Vic, Leon, Tom, and Napoleon.

She faced significant challenges, including World War 2 which profoundly impacted her life. Despite adversity, she developed a strong will and unwavering determination that stayed with her throughout her life. Loreto married her one and only sweetheart Eugenio Baquiran, who tragically got into a bus accident on his way to the hospital while she was in childbirth. Eugenio passed away 8 days later. Showing incredible resilience, Loreto raised her only daughter on her own. She never remarried. She then devoted herself to raising her only granddaughter and instilled values of courage, compassion, and faith in our Lord. Loreto later moved to Las Vegas and continued to serve the Lord while pursuing her passion for cooking. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched with her wisdom, kindness, wit, funny jokes, and generosity. Rest in peace, Inay. Your strength, love, and grace will forever linger in our hearts. 

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Loreto and family! Survivors include her only daughter, Lorna, son in law William, only granddaughter, Katriella, grandson in law Erwin, and his only great grandson, Liam Atticus.

SERVICES

A viewing and memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:30 PM inside The Legacy Lounge at Inspired Life Memorials at Summerlin, located at 311 N. Buffalo Dr. Suite B, Las Vegas, NV 89145. A Reception from 12:30 to 2:00 PM will immediately follow the service. Please join the family as they share memories, stories, and moments from their treasured years together in honor of their dear Mama/Nanay Loring.
