Mary V. Davis

Mary V. Davis was born on September 1, 1948 to Willie and Hattie Morris in Los Angeles, California. She was the baby girl of three siblings. At a young age, Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was very active in serving God, which included singing in the Southside Church of Christ Choir for many years.

As a young woman, Mary attended vocational school, where she thrived in her studies and eventually landed a civilian job at the Los Angeles Air Force Base in Hawthorne, California. Mary worked on Navistar Global Systems where she earned numerous awards and certificates. After 24 years of hard work and dedication to her career, Mary retired and celebrated with a wonderful ball.

Mary fell in love and married William E. Montgomery, and they became the parents of their first daughter Holly. Mary’s heart and love for others was so big that she eventually adopted eight other children into her family: Ronisha, Derrick, Dakiya, Myesha, Iesha, LaShonda, Michael, and Aurora.

On October 28, 2021, Mary made her transition into heaven. She is proceeded in death by her parents Willie and Hattie Morris, and her sister Ethel Jackson. Mary leaves behind her biggest loss, her love, her heart, her buddy, her companion, her bestie, dog Goldie.

Mary leaves to cherish her daughters Holly Brown, (Delbert Brown), Lashonda Herbert of Hawthorne CA., Aurora Davis and son Michael Davis, her only brother Willie Morris Jr., granddaughters Lanisha Williams, Cinnamon Gunn, Christina Brown and Audrey Davis, grandson Kerdell Herbert, and great-granddaughters Abigail Williams, Zurich Williams, and Ani’Marie Gunn, as well as her former husbands, Everett Davis, Anthony Williams, Sach Perry and Willie G., best friend Sylvia Dunmeyer of California and a host of family and friends.
