Michael Wayne Eden

November 21, 1943 – January 29, 2022

We honor and celebrate the inspiring life of MICHAEL WAYNE EDEN. Michael Eden passed away on January 29th at age 78 due to complications of Covid-19. He was born on November 21, 1943 in Detroit MI to parents Cecil & Rita Eden, now deceased. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Corliss, three daughters, Cathy Strunk of Yale, MI, Teresa Barber of Las Vegas, NV and Julie Kowalski of Roseville MI, eight grandchildren and six great children, two sisters, Jean Haberl of Seattle WA and Karol Heiser of Livonia MI. 

Retiring after 30 years with General Motors in 1996, he did contract work for four years that took him to Mexico and Germany. After that he became a tax preparer for H&R Block. Mike and Corliss moved to Las Vegas in 2005 where he continued working with H&R Block until he retired in late 2020. He loved being a part of the poker playing community, traveling and socializing. 

There will be a private celebration of life in Las Vegas on February 19th, and a second open memorial in Rochester, MI on March 20th, 2022.
